The NRL today launched its Pacific Strategy aimed at strengthening Rugby League and building stronger business and community ties in the Pacific Islands.
NRL CEO, Mr Dave Smith, said the Pacific Islands – Samoa, Fiji, Tonga and Papua New Guinea – would play a crucial part in the game’s future.

The USA Tomahawks proved too strong for Toa Residents by winning 18:12 at Aloha Stadium in the weekend.
Rugby League Samoa President, Su'a Fa'afouina Su'a says "it was a brutal match with both teams but I take my hat off for our Residents who played against 70% of the Tomahawks 2013 World Cup squad coached by Matt Elliot."

Rugby League Samoa is pleased to announce the Toa Residents squad selected to take on USA in the 2014 Ohana Cup on Saturday 19th July.
In its second year, the Ohana Cup is an annual test match between Toa Residents and USA, played in Hawaii. A good turn out is expected from the local Samoan community after last years inauagural test match where Samoa beat USA 34-10.
